About Carrie
I am Carrie Myers, CJ, yoga instructor and former yoga studio owner, poet and program developer. I, also, have a Master of Social Work degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. I am a native of Asheville, NC, and mother of three, and I have been writing since I was 10 years old. Most of my work is poetry, which reflects the phases of my life and helped me process my journey along the way. As a yoga instructor, I have discovered new ways to dig deep into my subconscious, pulling from my practice, the words that hold higher meaning and growth. As I put my work out into the world, I hope to inspire change in the hearts and souls of my readers, while holding space for each interpretation to resonate with each soul’s purpose. I am passionate about creating and recognizing the beauty in the mess that life can throw at us, at times. My goal is to help readers to rediscover their authentic selves and revive, create and discover their light within. My passion is people, inspiring them, loving them and helping them heal from traumas. I have just begun my writing career with a poem published in #2020 Vision, Unbound Perspective from a Year Like No Other, which you can find on Amazon.
